A Message from CIR Pres. Simon Ahtaridis, MD, MPH, 10/24/06

The life of a resident physician is busy, harried, and exciting. You may feel that there are things in your training and work life that could be done better, but in the rush to get through…the day, the year, the residency…you never get to address them.

With CIR, you can have what we have – the ability to resolve those “could-be-better” items on your agenda. We have a track record of accomplishments that we’re proud of (see the Patient Advocacy button on the left); and the talent and expertise to help you navigate the sometimes stormy waters of your residency.

Have any questions you’d like to ask us?  The Contact a CIR Member button, (on the left), gives you a list of CIR members and officers, including myself, who would be happy to answer your questions via email. Please take us up on the offer.

I hope you’ll join us in CIR, and learn what a union can mean for residents and fellows – a way to make your hospital a smaller place, meet residents and administrators in other departments, and work together for a better residency and patient care environment.
